Dear Ones,

What a blessing and witness A.V. was to all of my family. I count him as my "2nd Dad". I have fond memories of spending time at the Daugherty Place with Linda & Shirley and later I became a shirt-tail relative when the Dautherty's introduced me to Mary's brother-in-law, Steve. The rest is history! I count it all joy as I think of all the wonderful times we have had together. Every Daugherty child has influenced by life in some way. Thank you A.V. and thank you Daugherty Clan. God bless you.
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1

Shirley, the lives of you children are a testament to what a fine Godly man your Dad was. I did not know him but I've met your family and they are absolutely delightful!! And you, dearest one, are bringing other children to the Lord at a very early age. His legacy lives on.

What a privilege it was to live next door for almost 19 years! We made some wonderful memories! I am so blessed to have had this time to become so close to Dad and seeing first hand how to live such a godly life. To God be the glory!
I am so thankful that Dad is no longer suffering seizures or pain. I count having godly parents as one of my greatest assets. Dad, I will see you later.

Love, Mary Weeks

What a privilege it was to meet A.V. there in Shawnee a few years ago. Before that he was only a distant cousin in my genealogy records, but in those few precious hours with him, I learned that a wonderful Christian man he was. R.I.P., A.V.

Harold and Carolyn,
Wish I could be there to help honor a great man and friend. But I'm sure it couldn't come close to the honors he received when he took his first step in Glory. The 31st is a special day for me, too. It was Emma's birthday. Miss her a bunch but look forward to the day we begin forever with the Lord. Take care. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

In lieu of flowers we request you donate Gideon Bibles in his honor. Dad loved the Gideons and their great work in sharing God's word. It will not fade as flowers do.

My sisters and I were sitting beside Dad as he went to be with the Lord. We are SO thankful for his life well lived. My, how we are going to miss him, but would not bring him back for anything. He is now in the arms of Jesus. It was his every wish.
We were so very blessed. He loved people so much and prayed for so many that they might know Jesus also.

He has gone on to be with the Lord he lived for, and I believe the Lord greeted him saying, "Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord." (Matthew 25:21)
