Arlene Letrece Davis Cook went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 26, 2021 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She passed peacefully in her home that was filled with precious reminders of family and friends. She was born on October 22, 1934 in Asher, Oklahoma to Herbert W. Davis and Lillie Bell Farley.
Arlene Davis married the love of her life, Charles Cook Sr. on November 6, 1954. Arlene and Charles were blessed to have three wonderful boys, Terry, David, and Charles Jr. She was an outstanding wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Charles will never forget the cruises that he and Arlene experienced throughout their lifetime.
Arlene will always be remembered for her love of watching all sporting events, especially, OU or the Oklahoma City Thunder. She was an avid reader, loved her dogs, collecting antiques, family celebrations, puzzles and home decorating. She loved studying the Bible and had a true love for Jesus.
She is preceded in death by her parents and four of her five brothers.
Arlene is survived by her husband, Charles Cook Sr.; children Terry and Lisa Cook, David Cook and Marcia
McQuerry, and Charles Jr. and Amie Cook; grandchildren Chasitee and Travis Burdine, Chelsee and Scott Sanders, Courtney Cook, Calib Cook, Lexie and Chris Caldwell, Presley Cook, Emmie Cook, and Charlie Cook III, Elizabeth and Bryan Thomas, Darren and Jasmine Ritterhouse; great grandchildren Aaliyah Cook, Zoe Thomas, Presley Thomas, Payton Thomas, Kasey Ritterhouse, Grey Ritterhouse, and Adalee Wright; numerous nieces and nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. Funeral Services will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 with graveside to follow.
She will be forever loved and remembered.
