Betty Sue Boyce

Betty was born on a hot summer day on September 8, 1943 in Wewoka, OK to Zeake and Veda (Hughes) Boatman. On October 7, 1958 she married the love of her life, Dwayne Boyce. They had two beautiful daughters, Terry Boyce and Sherri Shahan who both reside in Shawnee.

Betty was an avid OU football fan that never missed a chance to cheer for her team. She enjoyed working in her gardens, reading her Bible and spending time with her family and the Lord. Betty worked at Hardee’s as a supervisor/manager for over 20 years where she touched the lives of so many people.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Dwayne; her parents; her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Clara Brown; and her brother, Frank Boatman.

Those left to cherish their memories are her daughters, Terry Boyce of Shawnee, Sherri Shahan and husband Chris of Shawnee; Grandchildren, Jeremy Tapp, Heather McCormick, Britnie Brown, Amanda Kern, and Cory Shahan; 9 great-grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation will be 1p-4p on Sunday. Services will be held at 2pm, Monday, March 2, 2015 at Resthaven Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Baldridge officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
