Bobby Ray Hill

Hill and Ada Sarah Shockley Hill, brothers Donald G. Hill and Ewell E.Hill, Jr., and sister, Barbara (Charles) Jones. Bob was born Nov. 6, 1932, in Seminole, Okla., where he was raised and lived with his family in an oil camp. He attended and graduated from Pleasant Grove School, near Seminole, and was recognized for his athletic abilities in baseball and basketball, as well as his leadership abilities. He was honored by being selected as a representative to Boy’s State, as Class President, and as Outstanding Senior Boy. Bob married his childhood sweetheart, Claudia M. Duvall, celebrating 66 years of marriage this past November. Throughout his extraordinary life, the family moved often, as Bob worked his way up the ladder with BJ Services, for 35 years, from being a “roustabout” to Vice President. In retirement, he worked for Vulcan Materials for 5 years, and was also a consultant, where he traveled the world, much as he had with BJ Services, and with his family.
