Shawnee resident Carey Taylor “Chubb” passed away Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, in Shawnee at the age of 43. Chubb was born in Ft. Benning, Ga., to Benny Taylor and Bessie Alexander. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda Taylor; father, Benny Taylor; brother, Stephen Gouge; grandmother, Pauline Butler; great-grandmother, Lena “Shawnee” Fixico; grandfather, Abner Taylor and Johnson Alexander. Chubb lived in Shawnee with his mother, Bessie Alexander. Chubb had a great skill at art and enjoyed life. He is survived by two sisters, Dana Murray and her daughter, Karmalea Murray, and DD Taylor; three brothers, Benny Ray Taylor, Jamie Taylor and Benji Taylor; his daughter, Khelsia Taylor and granddaughter; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
