Carolyn Ann Daniels

Carolyn Ann Daniels, born January 22, 1940, in Halleyville, Oklahoma, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Eva Joy (Gibson) Pingleton and Carl Pingleton; her beloved husband, James T. Daniels Sr.; and her brother Jimmy D. Pingleton. Carolyn is survived by her children: daughter Brenda and husband Gerald Ledford of Shawnee, OK; son James “Danny” T. Daniels Jr. and wife Joy “Shelly” of Blanchard, OK; and daughter Lorie and husband Eric Russell of Shawnee, OK; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother Jack and wife Cindy Pingleton of McAlester, OK; sister Linda and husband Virgil Burks of McAlester, OK; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special mention to pallbearers: James Daniels III, Shane Daniels, Josh Ledford, Colten Russell, Jalan Daniels, and Logan Russell; and to honorary pallbearers: JaiDan Daniels, Jackson Daniels, Khyler Ledford, and Keegan Alexander. Carolyn was loved and cherished by all her family. Most can remember her participating in her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s athletic events. Carolyn enjoyed: bingo, Dancing with the Stars, the Oklahoma City Thunder, O.U. Sports and many other activities, but above all she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carolyn was a strong, ambitious woman who survived many adversities in her life. Despite the tough times Carolyn always made sure that her family was taken care of and loved. Services are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home of Shawnee, OK. A funeral service will be held in her honor on Friday, April 11, 2014, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00P.M.
