Former Shawnee resident, Curtis Weston Rowe, 73, of Poteau, OK passed away peacefully October 3, 2012 in Ft. Smith, AR. He was born September 6, 1939 in Shawnee to Martha Emma (Kennon) and Wilbur Curtis Rowe.
He attended college in Springfield, IL and retired from being a right-of-way agent for multiple utility companies. His favorite hobby was studying the bible and his favorite sport was football. His proudest moments were when his sons were born and when he accepted Christ as his personal savior. He attended the Church of Christ there in Poteau.
He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Harold Weaver, Nathan Weaver and Keith Rowe.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; 4 sons, Kelly Rowe and wife, Lynn of Van Buren, AR, Kurt Rowe and wife, Leslie of Garland, TX, Kory Rowe and wife, Shellie of Red Oak, OK, and Ky Rowe and wife, Angela of Abilene, TX; 2 sisters, Sharon Campbell of Shawnee and Francis Valdez of Eugene, OR; 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
