Danny "Big Dan" Lee Westerman

The Lord called Danny "Big Dan" Lee Westerman home to be with him December 31, 2021. Danny is now reunited with his family and friends that went to heaven before him. What a joyous reunion that had to be. Danny was born to Dolly Carrigan May 14, 1952, in Shawnee, OK, graduated from Shawnee High School in 1970, and September 1970, he married Rhonda Smith. He enlisted and became an airman in the United States Air Force in 1972 and served until 1978 as a Crew Chief and Aircraft Mechanic on the aircraft fighters, where he was assigned to Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 1973, he was deployed to Thailand, during the Vietnam War, for 7 months. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base in July 31, 2016 as a Federal Civil Servant.

He is preceded in death by his mother, and brothers' Denis Westerman and Douglas (Doug) Westerman.

He is survived by his son, Kevin Westerman and his wife Candace and daughter Teagan; son, Jason Westerman and his wife Annette and their children Nathan and Nicole; Rachelle and her husband Wade Roberts and their children Cade, Desiree and Justin Ramus, and Ashley Hamm; his sister, Donna and her husband Steve VanAntwerp; and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be Wednesday January 5, 2022 from 4 pm-8 pm and on Thursday from 8 am-8 pm with family arriving at 5 pm. The memorial service will be held Friday January 7, 2022 at 1 pm at Sharon Baptist. Pastor Clint Dawkins will be officiating.
