David Ray Griner

Dave was a 1954 graduate of Shawnee High School and enlisted in to the National Guard, 45th Infantry on April 1, 1958. On December 25,2958 Dave married the love of his life, Kirby Griner. He began his career at Brackeen Buick working until 1960, when he became self-employed at Dave Griner Brake and Front end, where he worked for 42 years.

Dave is survived by two nieces and two nephews, Carolyn Lowder of Hermitage, TN; Sue Archer and her husband Rick of Choctaw, OK; Mel Smith of Choctaw, OK and Charles Smith, of Midwest City, OK. He is also survived by six great-nephews and one great-niece; Dustin Archer, Charlie Smith, Skyler Smith, Henry McDonald, Rob Lowder, Jon Lowder, and Crystal Davis. He is also survived by Sister in law Dorothy Phillips and husband Charles; brother in law Ronald Cox and wife Karen; Brother in law Pat Hathcock and wife Mary.

He was proceeded in death by his wife Kirby Griner; parents, Albert and Janie Griner; brother Albert L Griner, Jr; two sisters, Autis Cable and Frances Wisniewski; and niece Sharon Wright-Avelinio.

A graveside service will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, located at 44909 Highway 3, Shawnee, Oklahoma, 74801, United States. The service is scheduled for October 15, 2025, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am.
