Edith was a feisty lady with a lot of spunk and character. She enjoyed competing in rodeos and barrel racing. Edith was a founding member of the Sac and Fox Rodeo Club. She loved going to Pow Wow, the casino, and travelling the Western United States. She was known to have a green thumb and always had a garden.
Those left to cherish her memory are her niece, Bernita Haney and her husband, Scott; sisters: Dolores Kahrahrah and Rosita “Pawnee” Duncan; brother, Archie “Kickapoo” Rice; great nephews: Micco Haney, Randy Foye and his wife, Shannon Foye, and Robby White; and numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richmond Harjo; and several brothers and sisters.
A wake will be held Friday, June 21, 2019 at Rice Family Cemetery Home at 7 pm. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Rice Family Cemetery at 10:00 am.
