Edith M. Lee

Edith M. Lee, of Shawnee passed away January 4, 2013. She was born September 20, 1919 in Wanette, Oklahoma to Flave and Lydia (Smith) Crouch. She was a long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star #30 of Tecumseh, Oklahoma. She worked at Broadway Hospital and Shawnee Medical Center for many years and did volunteer work after retirement. She married John Stanley Lee February 23, 1948 in Omaha, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 26, 1988, also her parents and two brothers, Bob Crouch, of Tecumseh, and Orbin Crouch, of Porum, Oklahoma and a daughter, Stana Kay Rhoton, of Shawnee. She is survived by one daughter, Rita Lee of Oklahoma City; one grandson, Travis Rhoton, of Shawnee; one great-granddaughter, Kayana Rhoton of Shawnee; son-in-law, Gilbert Rhoton, of Shawnee; two sisters-in-law, Kathryn Crouch, of Shawnee, and Naija Ruth Crouch, of Shawnee; many nieces and nephews and many friends. Visitation will be from 12 to 5 PM Sunday January 6, at Resthaven Funeral Home.
