Edward Leon Fruits

Edward married Patricia Lilley on October 7, 1957 in East St. Louis, IL. They had three daughters together. Edward was in the US Air Force and then served time in the US Navy. He worked as an aircraft electrician for many years until he retired.

Edward spent his time hunting and just enjoying the outdoors. Some of his greatest achievements were the five homes he designed and built for his family. Another achievement of his life was when Edward and his brother Shortie found his infant sister’s gravesite and placed a headstone for her.

His proudest moment was when he became a mason and became the Master of the Meeker Lodge. Edward was a Mason for over 50 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ira and Ruby Fruits.

He is survived by his wife Pattie of the home; daughter Deborah Liles and husband Dale of Shawnee, OK; daughter Terrie Easton and husband David of South Burlington, VT; daughter Connie Brandhorst and husband Larry of Dupo, IL; brother Willard Fruits of Chicago, IL; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Edward greatly loved his family and he will be deeply missed by all.
