He had many jobs but the most cherished of those were Husband, Father, Grandfather “Papa”, and Uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Thelma (Spruill) McCathern; Sister, Geneva Fields; and Brother-in-law, Larry Bachhoffer. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Dorothy McCathern; Sister Janice Woodring; Son(s), Jeff McCathern and wife Jennifer, Kevin McCathern, Steve McCathern; Step-Son(s), Jim Thompson and wife Becky, and Todd Thompson; and Step-Daughter Alison Youngblood and husband Kyle; Mother-in-law, Tressie Brown; Brother-in-law, Joe Fields; Sister-in-law, Coretta Cole and husband Gene; Sister-in-law, Mary Bachhoffer; Grandchildren, Michaela Brown, Brandt McCathern, Ty McCathern, and Stevie McCathern; Step-Grandchildren, Jacob and Andrew Thompson, Brittney, Austin, and Kyla Youngblood; Niece(s), Becky McCrackin and husband Stacy, Arein Schwab and husband Chris; 5 Step-Great Grandchildren; 6 Great Nieces and Nephews; lifelong friends and family too numerous to mention but certainly appreciated and cherished.
