Elizabeth Ann Stiles, 75, passed away surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy rooted in love, devotion, and togetherness. Elizabeth was born on August 20, 1950, in Littlefield, Texas, to Edgar Laveta Stiles and Maudie Irene Stiles. She received her education through the sixth grade, which was common for many children growing up during that time. She spent most of her life in Lubbock, Texas, before moving to Shawnee, Oklahoma, in 2012, where she continued to make cherished memories with those she loved. Elizabeth found joy in the simple things that made life meaningful. She loved country music and was an avid fan of Elvis Presley. Blue was her favorite color, and she never missed an opportunity to surround herself with her family. Whether celebrating birthdays, Christmas gatherings, vacations, or simply enjoying time together, Elizabeth treasured every moment. One of her greatest joys was sitting back and laughing at the playful banter among her children and grandchildren. She taught her daughters and grandchildren invaluable lessons that will live on for generations: family always comes first, and every precious moment deserves to be remembered through photographs. She believed that memories were life's greatest treasures, and she hoped her family would continue building a legacy of love long after she was gone. Elizabeth was especially known for baking extraordinary amounts of sweet treats during the holidays, ensuring everyone was left with full hearts and full plates. Her home was always a place of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. In addition to her family, Elizabeth adored her beloved dachshunds. Her faithful companions—Fat Weenie, Blackie, Tess, Duder Man, Mackie, Oscar, and Bailey—brought her endless comfort and companionship throughout the years. Elizabeth is survived by her loving daughters, Frances Maxine Fant and spouse, Mark, of Miles, Texas, and Barbara Ann Guffey and spouse, Jeff Smith, of Shawnee, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Ashley Clark and spouse, Ray, of Newalla, Oklahoma; Andrew Fant and spouse, Dove, of San Angelo, Texas; Janelle DeSautell and spouse, Shade, of Lubbock, Texas; Randall Guffey of Shawnee, Oklahoma; Melanie Best of McLoud, Oklahoma; Jasmine Wright and spouse, Tristan, of Newalla, Oklahoma; Delana Wright and spouse, Kenny, of McLoud, Oklahoma; Madison Clark and Keegan Gabel of Newalla, Oklahoma; Holly Guffey of McLoud, Oklahoma; Liam Guffey of McLoud, Oklahoma; Kimzey DeSautell of Lubbock, Texas; Creed DeSautell of Lubbock, Texas; Bella Fleet of Newalla, Oklahoma; and Haizlee Barnhill of McLoud, Oklahoma. She is also survived by numerous bonus children and grandchildren who held a special place in her heart. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Edgar Laveta Stiles and Maudie Irene Stiles, and her cherished daughter, Lisa Ann Hayes. Those who knew Elizabeth will remember her gentle spirit, her unwavering love for her family, her warm holiday kitchen filled with homemade sweets, her laughter as she watched her loved ones tease one another, and the camera she always insisted should capture every special moment. More than anything, she wanted her family to remain close, to cherish one another, and to continue creating memories together. Though our hearts are heavy with her passing, we find comfort in knowing that her love lives on through every family gathering, every treasured photograph, every holiday tradition, and every life she touched. Her legacy is one of love, family, and the enduring bonds that connect generations. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
