

Elsie “Faye” Brown, born June 28, 1945, in Balgreen, Alabama to Homer H. Jones and Lizzie Mae Williams-Jones went to be with her Lord and savior on May 4, 2014 at the age of 68. Faye’s Family moved from Alabama to Arkansas when she was 2. She lived in the Helena/Elaine area until 1959 when she moved to Booneville, Arkansas with her sister until meeting and marrying her first husband, Edward L. Campbell. The couple moved to central Oklahoma and made a home there for the next 25 years. After her first marriage ended Faye moved to Northwest Oklahoma where she met and married her wonderful husband John Brown. Death claimed John from Faye on March 1, 2012.”
Faye is preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and her husband.
Faye is survived by her daughter, Tammie R. Harris; 1 step-daughter, Shawna Brown; 3 grandchildren: Chustin Harris, Sharee Harris, and Tatum Brown; 3 brothers: Bobby Jones and Wife Kim of Killeen, TX, Johnny Jones and wife Jonie, Jimmy Jones and wife Mary of Helena, AR; 2 Sisters: Jewel Brooks of Red Bay, AL, and Betty Abbott and husband Ron of Batesville, AR; many nieces and nephews, and a few friends.
Faye was a longtime member of The Free Will Baptist Church in Woodward, OK. She attended Gordon Cooper Area Vo-tech in 1982 and became a L.P.N. and worked in the health care field for the next 25 years before retiring June of 2007 from the Oklahoma Department of Corrections (WSKCC) in Fort Supply, OK (Near Woodward).
