Elsie Ada Bryant

Elsie Ada Gates was born March 2, 1934, to Melvin Gates and Dolla Crandall. After meeting the love of her life, Patrick Marshall Bryant, she quickly changed her last name to match. Now, as Elsie Bryant, she moved to Oklahoma with Patrick to share a new life and family. She gave birth to Jeffrey, Michael, Robert, and Peggy. Elsie and Patrick loved their children dearly. As a food service worker at the Shawnee Public School systems, she ensured well nourished food made with love for all the school children on a daily basis. She was also an active member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church. As time moved on, Elsie became a grandmother to Andrea, Robert Jr., Michelle, Patrick, and Jessica. Then once even more time moved on, Elsie became a great-grandmother to Adrianna, Twilight, Kyle, Austin, Braden, Teszera, and Hudson. Elsie eventually had a handful of beautiful great-great grandchildren, their names are Isiah, Jocelyn, Isis, Kharcenn, Aaliyah, Beautiful, Bryson, and Jazmyn. Memorial services will take place on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at St. John's Lutheran church, located at 3610 N Union Ave, Shawnee, OK 74804. A lunch will follow after the service.
