After graduating High School in Cleveland, Ohio, George went to college for music and after deciding it wasn’t for him, he quickly joined the Marines. After the Marines, George held multiple jobs, such as a Police Officer and retiring from the Street Department of Marlow as a Supervisor. What he loved most is singing the gospel and preaching the Word of God.
George married the love of his life, Brenda Stranahan, and had two beautiful children. His family would describe him as kindhearted, jolly, generous, a relaxed talker, a bear, and a good Christian. George loved fishing, golfing, camping, playing the guitar, singing, and watch for hummingbirds on his porch. Some of George’s proudest moments were the birth of his children, Scott’s first peewee game, Carisa’s first marching band performance, and birth of both of his grandchildren.
George is preceded in death by his parents Bob Charles Weeaks and Bertha Seay-Elliot Weeaks.
George is survived by his loving wife Brenda Stranahan Weeaks of Marlow, daughter Carisa Brock-Farrington and husband Christopher of Oklahoma City, son Scott Weeaks and wife Tomi of Marlow, brother Charles and wife Linda Weeaks, sister Linda Paul, two grandchildren, three nieces, and four nephews.
