Glenda S Jones

Glenda Sue Jones, 71, went to her eternal home On Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at her earthly home in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Glenda was born on October 2, 1954 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Pauline and Robert Jones who preceded her in death. Glenda graduated from Shawnee High School. She worked for South Central Industries,Inc. until its restructuring due to COVID. Glenda was an active member of Temple Baptist Church in Shawnee. She enjoyed going to the services, studying the Bible, and singing in the choir. She was a prayer warrior for her biological family and extended church family. Glenda was preceded in death by her cousin Big Brother and Guardian Kenneth McVey (Carol) of Martinsville, Indiana. She is survived by her cousin Big Sis Sharon Rogers (Larry) of Cabot, Arkansas, Lifelong Friend and family minister Reverend Doug (Barbra) Parker of Dale Oklahoma, cousin Debbie Bailey of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, and many cousins. Glenda leaves a void in the hearts of friends and family who knew and loved her and with whom she shared her colored artwork. A big thank you goes out to Heartland Hospice, Angel Acres, and Temple Baptist Church for having so much love, care and impact on Glenda's life. Visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 44909 Hwy 3, Shawnee, OK, 74801 on Thursday January 29 from 5-7 PM. The funeral service will be on Friday January 30 at Temple Baptist Church at 1234 E. Highland St, Shawnee, OK, 74801 starting at 2PM. The Committal service will follow at Dale Cemetery located at 33500 45th St, Dale, Oklahoma 74804.
