Jack Phillip Young

He was born in Neosho, Missouri on February 12, 1929, the son of Onda Phillip Young and Alice (Jack) Young. He served in the Army for 8 years and held a Masters in Education. He taught both high school and college vocational programs and could fix most anything.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Melvin and Vernon Young and his beloved wife, Delores.

He is survived by his son, Roger and daughter-in-law, Pam; grandchildren: April Anderson, Ryan Jolley and wife, Jessi, and Meagan Minix and husband Ryan; and 7 great grandchildren: Bailey Miller, Jensen Miller, Natalie Anderson, Tucker Anderson, Jace Jolley, Rylee Jolley and Douglas Minix.

ack enjoyed community service volunteering with both COCA and YMCA. Family was his first love and he always had a warm smile on his face. He will be dearly missed and always remain in our hearts.

Visitation will be December 8, 2014, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
