

Shawnee resident, JD Earls, 97, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, September 16, 2016. He was born in Wichita, Kansas on June 30, 1919. His family made their home in Oklahoma and JD attended school in New Hope and Bethel. He was a long time member of Temple Baptist Church. Throughout his life he worked at Woods Produce, S & S Grainery, and Shawnee Mill. He was also a former co-owner of Jack’s Trading Post.
JD was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Amy Earls.
Those left to cherish their memories are his daughter and partner, Helen Geissler and Jerry West, son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Juanita Spillers;
granddaughter, Diane and Mike Cooper; grandson, Carl Geissler and partner Mike Neil; grandson David Geissler and Brandy Edwards; granddaughter Michelle Martinez; great grandson Thomas Geissler; great granddaughter and her husband, Teresa and Jessie Wallace and great great grandchildren, Rocky Wallace, Mica Wallace, Jessie Wallace Jr, and Paden Wallace; great grandson and his wife Ben and Alicia Harper and great great grandchildren Hayden Harper, Ben Harper, Jr., and Guillermo Harper; granddaughter, Dee McCormick; great grandson, Lee Pepper and great great grandchildren, Jayden and Bailey Pepper; great grandson and fiancé Nicholas and Gracie Geissler and great great grandchildren, Xaiver and Justin Geissler; great grandson, Casey Geissler;
nieces and nephews, Charles William and Mary Ann Earls, Raylon and Justin, Kenny Loman, Roy Loman, Frankie Loman; sisters-in-law, Jenny and Joyce; as well as a host of other family members and friends.
