Joe was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His family was his greatest joy, and he especially cherished time spent with his grandchildren, proudly supporting them in their athletic and rodeo activities.
A 1959 graduate of Chandler High School, Joe was a talented athlete who later joined the swim team in college. He went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Oklahoma—Boomer Sooner! Joe began his career with OG&E as a meter reader and worked his way up to accountant and eventually district manager before retiring.
Outside of work, Joe loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time at rodeos. His passion for horses and the cowboy lifestyle was a lifelong constant.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Anita Myers; sons: Doug Myers, Timothy Belcher (Rhonda), and Jim Belcher (Trina); grandchildren: Morgan Myers, Mason Myers (Shelby), Chance Wallace, Morgan Askin (Brian), Blakely Woods (Carson), Mia Belcher-Wynn (Nate), Hannah Myers, Emma Myers, and Samuel Belcher; and great-grandchildren: Lyla and Mav.
