Ken Allen Harper

Ken Allen Harper of Tulsa, Ok. went to be with our LORD Thursday, June 11 2020. He was 75. He was born in Norman, Oklahoma to Olga Carol (Wauchope) and Thomas Edward Harper, Jr.

He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1963 and went on to attend Oklahoma State University where he was a member of the Delta Chi fraternity and majored in Marketing. He graduated in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

Ken loved music, sports, and his family. He was the social chairman of the Tulsa Ski Club from 1987-1991, and was a co-founder of the BNOCs. He will be remembered for his great impressions of Elvis, his commentaries about sports and talented athletes, his love for his family, his brilliant sense of humor, and his snowman-building expertise.

He is survived by his two sisters: Lynn (Harper) Denslow and Janie (Harper) Humphrey, his two children: Kimberly Harper and Marc Harper, his four grandchildren: Sage Harper, Mason Harper, Gabriel Harper, and Elise Harper, five nieces and nephews and their families.

Ken will be interred with family at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee, OK.

I was definitely shocked just now when I read of Ken’s death. I met him several years ago in one of our “singles group” and valued him as a good friend that was fun to be around. Sad to hear of his death as he had a lot of friends that will miss his happy personality.
