Larry was a loving and devoted husband for almost 60 years. Larry married his loving wife, Suzanne Anderson, on December 24, in Okemah, Oklahoma. He was so proud of becoming a father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Larry loved all things airplanes, flying, and was mechanically inclined. Larry received his Pilot’s License and was part of the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association). He also loved music and playing the guitar. Larry received a Bachelor’s degree from OSU and became an aircraft teacher at Gordon Cooper.
Larry is preceded in death by father Kenneth Smith and mother Mary (Treat) Smith. Larry is survived by his devoted wife Suzanne Smith of Shawnee; daughter Sheryl Sturgill and husband Jerry Sturgill of Tucson, Arizona; daughter Bobbi Smith of Shawnee; brother Allen Smith of Seminole; grandchildren Tyler Bowman, Andrea Bowman, Stephanie Smith, Sebastian Sutton, and Tonya Seward; and two great grandchildren.
