Shawnee resident, Mary (Gammy) Linda Hastings, 74, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 6, 2016. She was born in Shawnee to Monroe and Georgia May (Shawn) McInturff on October 8, 1941. Mary married the love of her life, Jerry Hastings, on April 15, 1960. In her free time she enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, quilting, coloring, and reading. She was a kind, strong, loving woman who enjoyed the simple things in life, but most of all, she enjoyed her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Sandra Dover and Stephanie Hastings; grandson, Nicholas Long; brothers, Charles McInturff and Gerald McInturff; sister, Barbara Davis.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jerry Hastings; grandchildren, Brandy Long, Tim and Monica Long, Brittaney and Alex Thompson; great grandchildren, Hailey Long, Nicholas Long, Jade Thompson, and Leyah Thompson; siblings, Tommy McInturff, Patricia Mounts, Carol Hurst, Betty Rawls, Larry McInturff, Steve McInturff, and Phillip McInturff.
A memorial service will be held at 1pm Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at The First Church of the Nazarene, Shawnee.
