Mary Lu Roach Mills

Mary Lu Mills, 62, of Shawnee, passed on Monday January 30th, 2012. Mary was born November 12, 1949 to A.F. and Idalle Roach. She received her Bachelor’s from Oklahoma Southwestern State University, where she met her husband, Phil Mills. She enjoyed sewing and watching after her grandson, Christian, and the family she loved so much.

Mary Lu is preceded in death by her father, A.F. Roach.

She is survived by her husband Phil Mills; mother Idalle Faram; sons, Philip B. Mills and wife LuAnn of Fort Worth, and James Mills and wife Heather of Moore; daughter Patty Barrick and husband Daniel of Oklahoma City; brothers, Bill Roach and wife Brenda of Tuttle, and Gary Faram and wife Glenda of Arcadia; as well as three grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, Thursday February 2nd from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at the First Christian Church of Shawnee, 1625 N. Broadway, Friday February 3rd at 10:00 AM. Pastor Ray Belford will be officiating. Committal will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
