

Nina Mae Eddings, 87, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025. She was born on December 14, 1937, in Okfuskee County, Oklahoma, to Mary Liza (Christian) and James Elvin Edmoundson. Nina grew up between Arizona and Oklahoma City, eventually earning her GED. She dedicated her life to being a homemaker and housewife, pouring her love and care into her family and home. One of her favorite hobbies was writing poetry. She was a devoted woman of faith who cherished attending church and sharing meals with loved ones. One of her favorite spots was Hamburger King in Shawnee, where she was a frequent and joyful patron. Always dressed with grace and elegance, Nina was fondly known as “the classy lady of the Aldridge.” Her signature polished nails and warm presence left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Nina’s greatest joy came from being surrounded by her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and loyal friend. She is survived by her daughter, Becky Youngblood and her husband Charlie of Meeker, Oklahoma; her son, Doyle Eddings of Shawnee, Oklahoma; her sister, Ruby Skaggs of Phoenix, Arizona; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob Eddings; her son, Roger Eddings; grandson, Anthony Enochs; son-in-law, Fred Robinson; daughters-in-law: Willina Eddings and Toni Eddings; her parents Mary and James; and five sisters and three brothers. Visitation will be held Friday, August 1, 2025 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home located at 44909 Highway 3, shawnee, Oklahoma, 74801. A celebration of Nina’s life will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at C3 Cross Connection Church, 329 N Pesotum Ave, Shawnee, OK 74801. A graveside service will follow at 11:15 a.m. at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery, 44909 Highway 3, Shawnee, OK 74801. Nina’s legacy of strength, kindness, and grace will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
