Graveside service for Raymond “Toots” Zimmerman, 85, former Shawnee resident, will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 8 am - 1pm on Tuesday, March 3.
Mr. Zimmerman passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015, in Eufaula.
Mr. Zimmerman was born February 12, 1930, in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Jim and Myrtle (Elliott) Zimmerman. He grew up in Shawnee and lived here until 1965 when he moved to Anville, PA. He resided there until he retired 30 years later and returned to Oklahoma. He was a lineman and welder. He joined the U.S. Army in 1946 and was later honorably discharged. Mr. Zimmerman was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Dollie Pattillo; and one brother: Robert (Bub) Zimmerman.
He is survived by two daughters: Vickie Page and Cindy Presley; one brother: Jim Zimmerman and his wife, Jean; 10 grandchildren; 3 nephews: Brock, Zane and Bobby Zimmerman; and four nieces: Connie Riley, Cathy Wilson, Kristen Mixon and Terry Moreau.
