Becky Sawyer, née Rebecca Adelaide Wetsel, was born on January 31st, 1947 at Balboa Hospital. Becky grew up on different military bases from Germany to Killeen, Texas. After Heidelberg High, she went to the University of Oklahoma. There she met lifelong friends and her soon to be husband, Mike.
The couple wed and had their first son, Jason. They moved to El Paso and soon felt right at home. After a few years, Becky had her second son, Justin.
The family moved twice for career opportunities, but once again the Chihuahuan dessert called them back to El Paso. She stayed until her retirement from teaching.
After retirement and the loss of her husband, she moved to Austin along with her father, Elmer.
Becky was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her sons Jason and Justin with his wife Megan and Becky’s grandsons Kane and Cole.

Services will be held Saturday July 26 at 10:00 a.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park 44909 Highway 3, Shawnee, Ok 74801.
