When we moved into our neighborhood in 2013, one of the first things I remember hearing from neighbors and parents on our same bus route, was that we had the most awesome driver.

My son Kollins who was fortunate to be on Rickey's bus route, would occasionally bring home little goody bags that Rickey would hand out to all his riders and (prior to covid), would even occasionally have pizza for his riders to enjoy on their afternoon ride home. I wanted to ride Rickey's bus and eat pizza!

It was a blessing to know that every school morning the first person Kollins seen was Rickey, who was always happy, smiling and waving. I cannot express the sadness I now feel every morning when the bus door opens and it is not Rickey.

I am sending up prayers for family and friends, as I cannot imagine the hurt and pain you are enduring at this time. Rickey was such an awesome person who touched a lot of lives, young and old.

Rickey will forever be missed, rest in peace.

Ricky was a pleasure to work with, always had a smile and willing to do anything you needed, I could always depend on him to cover the unexpected and last minute activity trips. You’ll be missed my friend. RIP
