

Roberto B. Ledezma was born on August 26th, 1950, a young force to be reckoned with; strong worker, good son, great father and a true friend. He passed this life on August 18th, 2026, born in Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico. In 1972 he proudly became a U.S. citizen. Prior to ’72, Roberto stayed in basketball and baseball for Lake Arthur High School in New Mexico, where he graduated in 1970. The citizenship put him on the right path for a technology school in Dallas. He followed technical school with a 40-year career with the Xerox company. He always said one day that computers will talk to us. Working on old trucks, tractors, and driving fast were his passions. He was also known as a strong supporter of his three boys and one stepdaughter as they sought out their own passions in life, and boy could he really cuss (in Spanish) at a phenomenal pace and eloquence people understood. As children, it was a way of life to have him cussing out their sport coaches. Roberto’s teams included The Dallas Cowboys, OKC Thunder, The OU sooners and he loved hanging with good friends over a cold beer, it carried him through life. Roberto is preceded in death by his parents Ernesto and Getrudes Ledezma; his best friend and only brother, Olmedo Ledezma; his wife Debbie Hume and his youngest son Jeffery Ledezma. He is survived by his baby sister Maria Almanza; his sons Roberto B Ledezma II, and Jonathan Ledezma, and his stepdaughter Riley Malone. The family would like to thank Cohesive Hospice care Chaplain Don, all the cancer teams Doctors and nurses and his good friend Jerry Wilson, who gave helping hands along the way. Roberto never met a stranger; they always became his friends. So many are here today and the family appreciates all those that showed up to celebrate his life.
A Memorial Service will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 44909 Highway 3, Shawnee, OK 74801, US, on August 26, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
