Robin Mack Keener was born on February 9, 1954 to Buel and Bobbye (Holyfield) Keener in Morrilton, Arkansas. He passed from this life on January 17, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with his loving family by his side.
He lived in Atkins, Arkansas until the family moved to Shawnee, Oklahoma where he attended school. He was in the proud class of 1972 at Shawnee High School. During his working career he was employed at Central Plastics and then later retired from TDK, in Shawnee. If he wasn’t at work, you would find him working on his racecars or at Thunder Valley, a race track in Noble, Oklahoma. He enjoyed working on and painting his cars getting them ready to race at the track. He also worked on friends cars, he was always in his shop working on something. On February 8, 1985 he married the love of his life, Darla Beasley. They resided in Shawnee. Robin and Darla also enjoyed attending the Lifeline Church in Shawnee.
Robin was preceded in death by his parents, Buel and Bobbye Keener.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Darla Keener; his children, Jeff Keener; Andrew and wife Brandy Geren; Josh and wife Jennifer Geren; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Robin was known for his compassion for animals. He had a kind and gentle manner about him. He was always taking in rescues. The furry friends that he left behind are Ben, Tippie, Max, Jenny, Buddy, Daisy, Sugar, Sweet Pea and Matthew, along with a few others.
