Born on October 3, 1942, to Marvin and Evelyne Walker, Russell lived a life full of adventure, love, and generosity. He was a loving husband, father, and cherished pawpaw who embraced the freedom of the open road and the serenity of nature.
Russell was a free spirit who loved to travel spontaneously, often camping beside the majestic mountains of Colorado. A proud Harley enthusiast, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle wherever the road took him. Known as a manly man, he had a deep passion for working with his hands, whether it was tending to tractors or engaging in his love for firearms.
Although rugged at times, Russell was a selfless soul who dedicated time to helping others and treasured moments spent with his family. He spent countless weekends at Lake Eufaula with loved ones and was famous for his sweet tooth, as there was always room for dessert.
Russell is survived by his son, Rusty and Konswallowa Walker; daughter, Michelle and Scott Massie; grandchildren Kelsi and Bailey Gunter, Destany and Travis Wilkie, Katie and Dennis Nguyen, Chance and Jai’Lin Walker, and Kayci Massie; five great-grandchildren with two more on the way; sisters Dorothy and Don Taliaferro, Ruby Jenkins, and Marvenia and Curtis Winders; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Marvin and Evelyne Walker, and his brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Mary Jo Walker.
Russell’s adventurous spirit and loving nature will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
