Sandra Eileen Cottrell

Sandra Eileen Cottrell, Shawnee Resident, passed away February 26, 2013 at the age of 65. She was born December 12, 1947 to Quimby Carl and Laveda Earlene (Brown) Jarnagin in Richmond, CA. She was raised in Guthrie and graduated from Guthrie High School in 1965. She married Peter Cathey Cottrell in 1972. She was employed with Tinker until her retirement in 2003. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her beloved pet Prissy II. She enjoyed watching Thunder basketball and OU football. She enjoyed going to the casino, taking road trips with Tiffany, and playing trains with her GG. She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband and soulmate; Peter Cathey Cottrell Jr., her aunt Mildred Zukoski & husband Joseph, and her uncle; Curtis Jarnagin. She is survived by her children; Sherry Gosey and John of Shawnee, Carla Freeman & Michael of Macomb, Kelley Cottrell & Cindy of Moore, Kevin Cottrell and Traci of Choctaw, Cathey Miller and Russell of Norman, Carolyn Seaton and Ray of Noble, her grandchildren; Stephen Joseph & Haleigh of Norman, US Marine PFC James Joseph and Tiffany of Shawnee, Alysha Gosey of Shawnee, Kayla Flores of Tecumseh, Carley Hasbell of Macomb, Kelsea Hasbell of Macomb, US Army SPC John “JT” Gosey Jr and Tavia of Hawaii, Ryan Gosey of Ada, Dylan Gosey of Okemah, and Ty Freeman of Wayne, her great-grandchildren; Gerardo “GG” Flores, and Braylon Nease, her two brothers; Jerry Jarnagin or Guthrie, and Larry Jarnagin and Laura of Mustang, her beloved pet; Prissy II of the home, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday from 3-8 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Resthaven Memorial Park.
