Sandra Gail Morris went to be with her Heavenly Father on March 28, 2021. Sandra was born on November 19,1941 to Sanford West and Helen Massey West in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Sandra attended Woodrow Wilson, Shawnee Middle School, and Shawnee High School. She worked for a short period of time as a nurse’s aide at Colonial Estate.

Sandra married the love of her life Ivan Leon Morris and went on to have a wonderful son, Michael “Mike” Morris. Her family will always remember her as a loyal wife, loving mother and grandmother, a fantastic host, and a heart that was meant to serve. Ivan will never forget the times he would come home late, around midnight, and Sandra would always have a hot meal ready for him. Whenever Sandra was a host, she would always make sure there was plenty of food. Mike and Ivan will never forget the spaghetti bake and tater tot casserole that Sandra always made them. Sandra enjoyed crocheting, gardening flowers, spending time with family, and eating out. She liked to travel, especially to Branson and Eureka springs. Her proudest moment was the birth of her grandson Gideon.

Sandra loved the Lord. She grew up at Downtown Pentecostal Holiness and attended C3 before her passing.

Sandra as preceded in death by her parents Sandford West and Helen Massey West. She is survived by her husband Ivan Leon Morris, son Michael “Mike” Morris and wife April, brother Bob West and wife Kay, brother Steve West and wife Kim, and grandson Gideon Morris.

Sandra, was a remarkable person. She will truly be missed. She never seen me that she didn't give me a hug and to say hello. I loved seeing her and Leon at Wal-Mart and around town. Sandra was a delight and she always had a smile on her face. Just know your pain is shared by many and if you need anything please feel free to contact me.

I loved Sandra. When she would come into the library, we would usually talk for a few minutes, and I simply enjoyed her company. If I ran into her at Wal-Mart or elsewhere, she would have a hug for me and a smile. What a warm and gracious woman she was. The world is a bit more dim without her in it. God rest her soul.

I was so saddened to hear of Sandra’s passing, it’s hard to lose a treasured friend, and I am going to miss Sandra so much. This passing was especially hard because we are never ready to say goodbye to someone as special as Sandra. My heart goes out to each of you.
I pray God brings each of you comfort and strength as you face the days and weeks ahead.

Sandra was always kind to me and treated me like a son when I came to visit Mike. She had a thoughtful quality to her that reminded me of my own Mom. I know she loved her family very much and will be missed by all. I'm thankful to the Lord for the time I got to know the Morris family and look forward to seeing her in Heaven one day.

I have been at Walmart for about a year and I would always see them in there with there walkies talking back and forth to each other. Seeing them made my day. She will be missed very much especially the crew at Walmart that knew her.

So very sorry to hear of Sandra's passing. She was always smiling and upbeat to be around. I am sure she will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Let me share a quote that I pray will be of some comfort at this time.
"Time is not a healer! It only reveals how God chooses to heal."
My prayers are with you Leon and family.
