

Sandra Jo (Kinsey) Rolland, 82, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and longtime resident of Shawnee, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025. She was born on March 9, 1943, in Norman, Oklahoma, to Harland and Vinita (Holstein) Kinsey. Sandra grew up in Seminole and Pottawatomie counties, attending Prairie Valley School from kindergarten through eighth grade and graduating from Macomb High School where she attended from 9-12th grades. On January 10, 1969, she married the love of her life, Jearl Ernest Rolland, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. They shared a deep and lasting bond until his passing in 2002. A dedicated and hardworking woman, Sandra began her career at Tinker Air Force Base in 1980, where she worked in the maintenance department as a nondestructive tester of aircraft engines. Her strong work ethic and attention to detail earned her the respect of her colleagues. She retired in 2003 after more than two decades of service. In 2010, Sandra moved to Tulsa to be closer to her daughter, son-in-law, and beloved grandsons—family who brought her endless joy and pride. She loved spending time with them and cherished every moment they shared.
Sandra is survived by her daughter, Amber Helms, and husband Rusty of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; grandson Craig Helms and wife Reagan of Jenks, Oklahoma, and grandson Joshua Helms of Jenks, Oklahoma; her brother Stacy Kinsey and wife Karen of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; sister Sheila Fink and husband Don of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Sherry George and husband Roger of Newalla, Oklahoma; sister- and brother-in-law Gina and Jack Lokey of Comanche, Oklahoma; brother-in-law Bill Walker of Newcastle, Oklahoma; and brother- and sister-in-law Steve and Debbie Rolland of Choctaw, Oklahoma. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who loved her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jearl Rolland; her beloved son, Kelly Brent Rolland; sister-in-law Nancy Rolland; and her parents, Harland and Vinita Kinsey. Sandra enjoyed life’s simple pleasures—working word searches and crossword puzzles, watching OU and Dallas Cowboys football, and curling up with a good book. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her loyalty to family, and the quiet strength that carried her through life’s joys and challenges. Those who knew Sandra will remember her warmth, kindness, and the love she poured into her family. Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who had the honor of knowing and loving her. A visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, located at 44909 Highway 3, Shawnee, OK 74801, on November 5, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The funeral service will follow at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A committal service will take place at Resthaven Memorial Park, 16006 S Rock Creek Rd, Shawnee, OK 74801, on November 5, 2025, at 12:00 pm.
