Harold, as he was known to family and friends is survived by his daughter Kim Baker, his daughter-in-law Sherri Nix and granddaughters Madison Nix and Amber Stryker and grandson Garrett Baker.
He is proceeded in death by his wife Gail Nix, his son Kelly Nix, and his parents Loyd and Pearl Nix.
Harold was born in Macomb, OK in 1933. He graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1952.
Harold married Gail Marie Bayless in Porterville, California in 1952. He and is wife made their home in Shawnee for over 64 years. Harold was known as "the VW guy" by Volkswagen enthusiasts all over Oklahoma. Working from his backyard shop, Harold worked on and repaired vintage bugs for many years in his spare time.
Harold loved to travel and take his family on summer vacations to Port Aransas, Texas, Creede Colorado and Branson, Missouri. One of his favorite pastimes was fishing in the Rio Grande River.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery.
