Wes Adamson

Wes Adamson, 74, of Shawnee passed away Monday January 7, 2019 at Saint Anthony in Shawnee. He was born August 8, 1944 in Tecumseh, OK to Wesley and Hazel Adamson.

Wes was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1964 as an E-5 Sergeant of Infantry. He was a roofer for over 40 years and owned Adamson Roofing. Wes was an avid coin collector; mostly United States coins but also enjoyed finding different country coins. He loved to read and work on puzzles, watch movies; mostly westerns and watch Blue Bloods since he was a big fan of Tom Selleck. Wes enjoyed listening to George Jones and 50s and 60s rock and roll. He was proud of his Viking heritage but above all he loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Corrina Martinez, Aaron (Cathy) Adamson of Safford, AZ, Wade (Pamela) Adamson of Prescott Valley, AZ, Larissa Adamson of Watsonville, CA; grandchildren: Marie Jackson, Tiffany (Cody) Hoopes, Thomas Adamson, Wade (Meagan) Adamson Jr., Jeremy Adamson; great-grandchildren: Riley Hoopes, Rexton Hoopes, McKenzie Hoopes; siblings: Trella Adamson, Anna (Russel) Pringle, Johnny Adamson, Rosie (Jim) Hughes, Maxine Adamson as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; spouses: Brenda and Alice Adamson; siblings: Elmer, Alice, Frank, Frances and Joy.

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Sunday January 13th, 2019 at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4409 Hwy 3, Shawnee, OK 74801. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday January 14th, 2019 at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, Shawnee, OK.

Through the course of knowing him, he seemed like a good man. A big man, like a gentle gaint. One that his brothers, sisters, niece's and nephews had great respect for and looked up to.
Now he joins family in heaven but will be missed by family and friends on earth.
May he now rest in peace and his family's hearts heal.

Hi we are so sorry for what you'll are going through , I have know the Adamson's about all of there lives, they all seam like family to me. I have a lot of good memories going out to California visiting & staying with them many times. always enjoyed being around them. We had a great trip to Virginia . Wes & I had a lot in common. Liking the same things. He was a good guy & will be greatly missed. he's not alone he has a lot of family & friends to greet him. He will always be a great memory and will always be close to our hearts. If I can help you'll please give me a call ok. Take care of each other & your self.
