William "Willie" Ray Willson

Willie was the son of W.F. and Ruby Willson of Shawnee and at the age of 19, Willie married the love of his life Kay Nowlin Willson and in 56 years of marriage they had three children, son Jerry Willson, and daughters Jenna Edgar and Cynthia Willson Lampe. Willie was a loving grandfather (Papa) to six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Willies first love may have been his family but his second love was racing. At the age of 25, Willie began building race cars and racing in Oklahoma City. When he could no longer race, he began sponsoring other race car drivers and never missed a race. Anyone that knew Willie was a friend and he knew many.

Willie fought hard and was brave and strong. He was our hero and he will be missed.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Kay; his three children, son, Jerry Willson, and daughters Jenna Edgar and Cynthia Willson Lampe; two sisters, Ann Osborn of Moore, OK and Darlene Jenkins of Shawnee; six grandchildren, Kristy Willson, Lindsey Willson-Ramirez, Dylan Willson, Billy Edgar, Chrissy Edgar-Garrison and Jesse Edgar.
