Alan Wayne Adams, 81, passed away peacefully at Hospice Norton Pavilion Wednesday, June 17th, 2026. He served in the United States Air Force and he worked for the United States Postal Service. He retired from Naval Ordnance and worked for CACI after retirement. Alan was a Member of Robinson-Plum Lodge #266 F&AM for 52 years, member of the Scottish Rite Louisville, and a member of American Legion Post #157, Shepherdsville, KY. He was a member of Kosair Shriners and was a Kentucky Colonel.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Adams and Esther Talley Adams, and a brother Doug Adams. Those left to cherish him, his daughters Lynn Rough(Chris) and Kimberly Pence, grandchildren, Abigail and Isabella Rough and Brody and Brooklyn Fawver. Alan supported these charities , Kosair for Children, Crusade for Kids and St.Jude.
A Visitation will take place on Wednesday morning June 24, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at (Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home at John Harper Freeway). Burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
