Alvin Mitchell Warren, age 84 of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 27, 2024, with loving family by his side. He was born on July 17, 1939, in Green County, Kentucky, to the late Foster and Florence (Noe) Warren. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was also Firechief for Zoneton Fire Department in the late 70s and 80s and previously employed at Seagrams Distillery. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Alma Coy, Lois Jean Hutchison, Ivan Warren and Paulene Underwood.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Shirley Warren; daughters, Cheryl Andrews, Linda Toohey (Chuck) and Gail Thompson (Wayne); sisters, Shirley May Underwood and Ruby Skaggs; grandchildren, J.D., Talya, Corey, Cole, Cathy, Jasmine (Corey), Adam and Bekah; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Collin, Kaizyn, Eric, Kamden, Adien, Mia, Eli and great-great-grandchild, Carter.
Memorial service will be conducted on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 3 pm in the chapel at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy. in Shepherdsville). Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 10 am until time of service at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home.
