Amanda Elaine Thompson

Amanda Elaine Thompson, age 42, returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.  She was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana on March 17, 1980, to Keith Thompson and Mary Celeste Thomas Thompson.

Amanda was a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Louisville Cardinals.  She loved going to the beach, the lake and fishing.  She could make anything grow and was the life of the party anywhere she went.  She was loyal and loved her family and friends very much.

She was preceded in death by a grandmother, Evelyn “Grandiea” Thompson and an aunt, Elaine “Tiny” Zinser.

She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Anthony Bryce Trew (Derek Coulter); daughter, Elaine “Laynee” Danielle Collins; sisters, Jennifer Ann Bowman (Sean) and Sabrina Lynn Thompson (Joey); grandmother, Laverne “Granny” Thomas; nephews, Maxwell Bowman and Maddox Bowman; sister tribe, Elizabeth Gagel, Jaime Glass Foster, Amanda Metcalfe Mattingly and Jessica Mehlbauer Washer and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy.  Shepherdsville, KY 40165).  Friends and family may pay their respects on Monday, February 6, 2023, from 12 noon until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
