Anna M. Crawford

Mrs. Anna M. Crawford, age 72, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 8, 2023. Anna was born in Albany, New York to the late George Albert Ellis and Margaret Mae “Fox” Ellis. She retired from Wesley Manor Retirement Community after 34 years of service. Anna enjoyed her morning coffee, playing penny slot machines, gambling trips to Vegas, and New York to see her family, she loved “Nana” Chips, coffee cake, york peppermint pattie, and circus peanuts. However, most important thing to Anna was her family, her children and her grandchildren, brothers, and sisters, she loved them all. She will be truly missed by her family and all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Albert Edward George, her daughter Tamela Nicole Crawford, two brothers George Edward Ellis, and James Leroy Ellis, sister Georgeann Bushey and Great grandson Raylen Cole Blair.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Teddy Crawford,  three daughters Stephanie Ann Hurst (David), Tara Marie Indovina, and Tiffany Nicole Yates (Bryan), and one son Edward Thomas George, eight grandchildren  Savannah George (Randy), Shyanne George, Alani Blair (Eric), Tyler Hurst (Zoey), Derrick Lewis (Toni), Bella Lewis, Brylee Yates, and Colton Yates, six great-grandchildren  Gunnar Blair, Sirena Litsey, JR Litsey, Aliyah James, Shylah George, and Samara Hall, three brothers, Wilson Ellis (Kathy), Charles Ellis (Barbara), Stewart Ellis (Cathy), one sister, Margaret Simmons (Harry), along with many nieces, nephews and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. (4895 N. Preston Hwy at John Harper Freeway). Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, January 13, 2023, from 12 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. And again, on Saturday January 14, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial to follow in Brookland Cemetery.
