Avonell Kinney

She was born October 10, 1927 in Pikeville, Kentucky. Mrs. Kinney was a retired machine operator from Brown and Williamson and attended Antioch Old Regular Baptist Church and a monthly widows group which she enjoyed very much.

Among those who preceded her in death include her husband, Don Edward Kinney; sons, Donald Mack Kinney and Terry Edward Kinney; daughter, Patty Kinney; parents, Malcolm and Maxine Pinson Blankenship; siblings, Clinton Blankenship, Genevive Walker, Edward Blankenship and Palmer Blakenship.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Sandra Kay Wyatt (Mike) and Michelle M. Jafarpour (Reza); sons, Gary D. Kinney (Darlene), Michael Kinney (Jamie) and Mitchell Kinney; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Erma Watts, Donrita Wolf, Katie Fife and Ruby Rodell; brothers, Mack Blankenship and Dee Parsons and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
