Bettie Jean Cox
September 23, 1945 – July 15, 2023
Bettie Jean Cox, age 77, of South Louisville, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023. She was born in Elizabethtown, KY on September 23, 1945, to the late Allen Jeffries and Elizabeth Ford Jeffries.
Besides her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Robert Cox, Sr.; son, Robert Cox, Jr.; sister, Maryann Moran.
She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Allen Cox (Lori); granddaughter, Megan McGuire; great grandson, Isaiah McGuire; sisters, Ann Gibson and Joyce Robinson and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10 am on Monday, July 24, 2023, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 North Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday, July 23, 2023, from 2 pm until 8 pm and on Monday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
