Betty Mae Armstrong

Betty Mae (Belew) Armstrong, age 92, of Louisville, KY returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 1, 2025.   She was born in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee on February 2, 1933, to the late Floyd Belew and Addie (McMackin) Belew.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmy Armstrong; children, Terry Armstrong and Sheila Armstrong Tinsley; great grandson, Jonathan Armstrong. 

She was a ball of fire, and lived “out loud”, without asking permission or forgiveness. 

She leaves to cherish her memory grandchildren, Angie Yost (Larry), Shannon Armstrong-Patrick, Matthew Armstrong (Angel), Jamie Armstrong, Nicole Armstrong Fickas (Tony), Caitlin Tschanz (Ben) and Jeff Tinsley (Stephanie); fourteen great grandchildren; thirteen great-great grandchildren and a host of other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, May 9, 2025, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.  Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Friday, May 9, 2025, from 9 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
