Betty Lou Hayes

Betty Lou Hayes, age 84, of Louisville, KY returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Betty was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Hayes; parents; son, James Rusty Hayes.   She was born on February 20, 1940, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late George Burton and Evelyn “Houchens” Burton. Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.   

She leaves to cherish her memory her four sons, Robert Hayes, Billy Hayes (Debbie), Eugene Hayes (Monica), Jackie Ray Hayes; brother, Ronnie Burton (Joan); two sisters, Goldie Masticola and Karen Hatfield; seven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a host of dear family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m.  Monday, July 1, 2024, at the Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.)   with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.  Friends may pay their respects on Sund
