Billy Ray Skaggs

Billy Ray Skaggs age 80 of Shepherdsville was born April 30, 1935 to the late Ray and Lucy Ann Davis Skaggs and returned to his Heavenly Father September 26, 2015. Mr. Skaggs was a member of the Independent Baptist Church, a retired employee for Ford Motor Company and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Among those who preceded him in death include his daughter, Vicky Skaggs and his parents.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Floetta Gassaway Skaggs; daughter, Renee Gritton; sons, Randy Skaggs (Pam) and Steve Skaggs (Susie); grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer, Nicole, Erika and Dustin; great grandchildren, Alexis and Ella; a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held 12 P.M. Tuesday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks (Preston Highway at Brooks Road and use John Harper entrance) with interment in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may pay their respects from 1 P.M. until 8 P.M. Monday at Schoppenhorst.
