Bobby Ray Griffin Sr.

Mr. Bobby Ray Griffin Sr., 80, of Louisville, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, March 30, 2018. Mr. Griffin retired as a supervisor from Bluegrass Cooperage after 37 years of service and he worked at Dillard’s for 8 years. Mr. Griffin was a KY Colonel and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

Among those who preceded him in death include his parents, George and Edna Griffin; grandson, Steven Griffin and brother, Henry Griffin Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 63 years, Doris Griffin; children, Bobby Griffin Jr., Tim Griffin (Sharon) and Metta Griffin; grandchildren, Tyler Stotts (Kelly), Derek Stotts (Seiko), Victoria Griffin, Nick Mattingly and Linda Lindermann (Brian); sister, Norma Chesser (Gene); stepmother, Loraine Griffin and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 2pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.  Friends may pay their respects on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 3pm until 8pm and Tuesday from 12pm until the time of the service. www.subfuneralhome.com
