Calvin Wade Young, age 40, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. Calvin was a member of the Covington, Ky Seventh Day Adventist Church. Calvin fought the good fight of Schizophrenia. He was loved and cherished by all his family and friends and everyone he came in contact with. He was born in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky on December 2, 1981, and raised in Independence, Ky. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, David Lee Young, John Mayhugh, Jr. and Virginia Mae Mayhugh. He is survived by his parents, David Lee Young (Lisa) and Mary Ann “Mayhugh” Pitt (David); sister, Bridget Baker; nieces and nephew, Alysa Baker, Ethan Baker and Chole Baker; grandmother, Wanda Mae Young; and a host of other family and friends. The Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held at a later date. Family has entrusted Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with arrangements.
