Carey Louis "C.J." Cecil

Mr. Cecil was born March 1, 1981 in Louisville, Kentucky and was an avid NASCAR fan, U of L fan and loved fishing.

Among those who preceded him in death include his parents, Wendy Ann Whaley Smith and Carey Louis Cecil Sr. and grandparents, Wendall Whaley and Bud and Ruby Cecil.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Mason Carey Cecil; siblings, Josh Cecil (Tiffany Duncan), Sarah Slone and Amanda Slone; nephew and nieces, Adam and Katie Cecil and Tesla Walrath; grandmother, Ruth Whaley and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Monday at 6:30 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) where visitation will take place from 4:30 pm until the time of service. Burial will take place at 10:00 am on Tuesday in Penn Run Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the family of C.J. Cecil.
